Hi! I’m Sanjana, a mixed-media artist, illustrator and writer who draws inspiration from nostalgic memories and gazing out the window. My stories often have a touch of whimsy and would resonate with readers who can live vicariously through the characters. My art style aims to evoke a sense of wonder utilising bright colour palettes, reflecting themes of friendship and fantastical adventures. I work with traditional mediums like watercolours, acrylic gouache, and enjoy creating a chunk of textures using paper-cut collage, coloured pencils and oil pastels.
Upon completing an online Continuing Education Course on "Children's Book Illustration", provided by the School of Visual Arts, NYC, I discovered my passion for storytelling and have since dedicated my time to exploring numerous fictional worlds of my creation.
I'm actively querying my debut children's picture book that is suitable for ages 3 to 8 and in the later stages of drafting an early chapter book that is suitable for ages 5 to 10.
